Aetna's Walls Come Tumbling Down

Middletown's largest taxpayer is on its way to becoming a much-diminished presence in Middletown and on the tax rolls.  Interior demolition on the Aetna complex has been going on for months, but exterior demolition, on the North wing of the complex began recently.  There are still no firm proposals for what to do with the property after the headquarters of the major insurance company are demolished.  Aetna maintains a data center on the property.
