Targeted Exercise Videos Online

   On-demand
  workouts

   LIVE classes
  & workshops

AARP provides many beneficial programs. One of them is a huge selection of exercise videos on youtube, including yoga-based routines, for whatever ails you. Sometimes the right exercise will remind you that you don't really need hip or knee surgery--that's a huge plus!

Targeted Exercise Routines from AARP

The youtube videos are available even if you're not a member of AARP--you'll need to check. But for AARP members, with Silver Sneakers coverage these exercise offerings can't be beat. You can log in to Silver Sneakers, find a video that might help, and work out whenever you like.

The fact that the exercises are targeted means that if you're having knee problems--or leg or ankle or back problems, there's a video for you. Sometimes you'll need to read articles online to find out which part of the body is actually causing trouble and that can be challenging because, as we know, they're all connected! But it's well worth the effort to avoid pain, worry, a doctor's visit, or maybe even surgery.

So if you're finding it hard to walk up the stairs or get up from your favorite arm chair, or if you're dealing with muscular or joint pain, chances are you can find an exercise to help. You'll be amazed how quickly you can recover with exercise, in the privacy of your own home.

Silver Sneakers online also has ongoing classes--extended workouts you can use for strengthening and toning.  Give it a try!    https://tools.silversneakers.com/

Carbon Negative Carpeting

Imagine Another Timely Idea:
Carpeting with a carbon footprint of
negative 300 grams per square meter

THE CLIMATE ISSUE
Has the Carbontech Revolution Begun?

Science can now pull carbon out of the air. For that to make a difference, though, businesses need to find profitable places to put it.

In the New York Times Weekend Magazine

Products of Atlanta-based Interface products, including commercial flooring — carpet tiles, lightly napped and highly durable, incorporate
something new that results from years of intensive research and development. It uses materials made from recycled vinyl and processed vegetation, infused with a latex created from smokestack exhaust, and topped and tufted with salvaged nylon.

NEWS ALERT: DID YOU GET YOUR COVID-19 VACCINE?

Did You Get Your COVID-19 VACCINE?

Approximately three weeks ago President Joseph R. Biden launched an ambitious plan to have 70% of adults get the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccination by July 4th. As of right now the goal is almost in reach with 65% of adults are partially vaccinated from the COVID-19 Virus.

President Biden has stated that every American has a major role to play to ensure each of us combats this deadly virus. America is almost there to the 70% mark, but it cannot be done without everyone's help. If you know someone who has not been vaccinated ask him or her to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Please tell him or her that it is everyone's civic, patriotic and moral duty to protect themselves & others against this health threat to America and the world. It is time to step up and get vaccinated. Please get your shot before it is too late.

Most vaccination clinics are now walk-ins and appointments are not necessary anymore. Plus, your favorite supermarket and drug store are now offering the COVID-19 vaccine. If everyone tries to meet this goal of 70% then America will have a grand and festive July 4th holiday celebrating not only our nation's 245th birthday but also our independence from the COVID-19 virus. Please get vaccinated.
