Representative Lesser Says He and Mayor Giuliano to Join Firefighters at Training

State Representative Matt Lesser (D-Durham, Middlefield and Middletown) and other elected officials will join Middletown Firefighters at Fire Ops 101 today. Fire Ops 101, a course of firefighting skills, was organized by Middletown Firefighters Local 1073 and the Middletown Fire Department. Rep. Lesser and other elected officials were invited to participate so they could experience firsthand what services Middletown fireman provide on a regular basis.

Today’s training will include life saving and property conservation exercises that employ the use of specialized tools, including the jaws of life, rope rescue, and entering a burning building to extinguish an internal fire. Rep. Lesser will join the Middletown fireman in all of the exercises.
