On Tuesday October 13th O'Rourke's Diner will be opening for dinner. No tour of Middletown restaurants would be complete without a stop at O'Rourke's Diner. Dinner will be a prix fixe menu for $45 and there will be two seatings at 5pm & 7pm. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to Oddfellows Playhouse's Scholarship Fund.
Brian O'Rourke and Lance Whalen have put together a delicious fall menu for the event. This gastronomical event will consist of:
Soup
Pumpkin Bisque
Salad
Mesclun Salad
Candied walnuts, dried cranberries & goat cheese
With a lemon poppy seed dressing
Entrée
Roast Pork Loin
With herb roasted potatoes & asparagus
Served with a cinnamon apple butter
OR
Smoked Duck
Wrapped in crepes with fried leeks
Served with an orange saffron vidalia reduction
OR
Acorn Risotto
A maple roasted acorn squash risotto
Topped with toasted pecans
Dessert
Bread Pudding
Topped with a maple crème anglais

There are only 40 tickets available for each seating. Reservations are recommended as seats are filling up fast. Tickets are available at O'Rourke's Diner or by calling Oddfellows Playhouse at 860-347-6143.
