Around Middletown in 80 Days: Day 46

A New World Laser Tag
Corner of Washington and Main St.

Phileas Fogg has never heard of laser tag. Never heard of laser tag?! you ask. Where the heck has he been since the 1980s?? Well, he's been in the year 1872, a little too preoccupied with circumnavigating the world in eighty days to discover the glory of scoring points by tazing targets, with a hand-held infrared-emitting targeting device. We let him in on the object and rules of the game, explaining that infrared-sensitive targets are worn by each player and are integrated within the arena in which the game is played, and that Laser Tag includes simulations of combat, role play-style games, and competitive sporting events including tactical configurations and precise game goals. "Oh yea," responds Phileas, "sounds a bit like the Wild West, but with fewer tumbleweeds and a lot more fun."

Today Phileas will be visiting New World Laser Tag, in Middletown, when it launches Aion Underworld Gaming with free food and drink from 5 – 11 pm. Check it out at http://www.newworldlasertag.com/underworldgaming.htm

Phileas is also looking forward to Fright Night at New World Laser Tag on October 24. This Halloween Fun will include gaming, movies and refreshments. You can join in the Fright Night fun by calling ahead for reservations. 860-343-3899.

Located at the Corner or Washington and Main Street in Middletown, New World Laser Tag is open Tuesday – Thursday 11 - 9, Friday and Saturday 11 – Midnight and Sunday 11 – 9.
