Ava M. Hart, MSW is currently involved in many professional and community organizations, currently she serves as the Education Chair for the Middlesex County NAACP and was the 2009 NAACP Member of the year. Ava has been an active member of the PTA/PTO for many years. Ava is a graduate of the Parent Leadership Training Institute and Parents Supporting Educational Excellence. Ava was the 2009 Corkin Award winner (employee of the year) for Middlesex Hospital and served Middlesex county as a Parent Aide and Facilitated Nurturing Parenting Programs in the community. Ava holds a CT Head Teacher Certification for Pre-School Aged Children, and is a certified Domestic Violence Counselor. In 2007 Ava graduated from Springfield College School of Human Services Cum Laude. In 2010 Ava received a Masters degree in Social Work, from Springfield College School of Social Work. Currently she is working as the iCARE social worker for Middlesex Hospital and is the owner and operator of AM Hart Parenting Consultant, LLC. Ava’s main objective for the Middletown Public Schools is to ensure that schools, families and community work collaboratively to support student academic achievements which also includes social/emotional and behavioral needs.
