Green Street's Family Workshop Series Begins on Saturday

Tap Happy Family
SATURDAY, July 11
11am-12:30pm
Tuition: $20/family of five, additional family members are $5/person
What better way to bond with your child than dancing together? Moms, Dads and children of all ages will have fun exercising and learning the fundamentals of the art of Tap Dancing in this exciting workshop with veteran teacher Lynn Agnew. Together you will learn Broadway style tap working on footwork, rhythm, sound progressions and coordinator. Tap shoes are required, but don’t worry, Green Street has many pairs to fit all sizes. Just let us know what you need!
Family Mask-Making Workshop: Burlap Cartoon Mask
SATURDAY, July 18
10am-12pm
Families with children ages 8+
Tuition: $30/family of five, additional family members are $7/person
Spend time with your family this Saturday morning creating a mask with mask-maker extraordinaire, Larry Hunt! Larry will guide you and your family through the process of creating your own caricature mask using a three dimensional molding technique. Come prepared to get messy as you work with your hands, molding burlap with newspaper, containers and wallpaper paste! Mask will be created during the workshop, and then Larry will explain decorating techniques you can do at home.
Family Creative Dance
SATURDAY, July 25

Families with children ages 4 to 12
Tuition: $20/family of five, additional family members are $5/person
Discover the world of creative movement with your children. This workshop, led by Rachel Roccoberton, will lead you on a journey in movement, exploring shapes, sounds, animals, improvisation and storytelling. Learn new games to play together at home! Music, poems, stories and props add to the fun.
