Twenty-three individuals from 16 different countries (Albania, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Germany, India, China, Phillipines, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, South Korea, Ukraine and the United Kingdom) were sworn in as citizens in a ceremony at Middletown City Hall Thursday. Judge Warren Eginton presided over the ceremony as the citizens-to-be pledge their oath of allegiance, and then recited the Pledge of Allegiance with those who had come to observe the ceremony.
Connecticut Supreme Court Justice Richard Palmer spoke to the new citizens about the system of justice in the United States, and Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz, and Mayor Sebastian Giuliano welcomed the new citizens.

Now this is what America is all about! Not like the illegals crossing the borders in Arizona hoping for an "American" payday. Kudo's to all those that became US citizen's today!
