ARTFARM’s final weekend of Shakespeare’s As You Like It is upon us!
Last week the gifted company of actors performed for audiences in the grove with stellar evenings of weather (-in spite of what the weather-media predicted!) The actors romped and swooned, sang, danced, cross-dressed and con-‘versed’ under the warmth of day, changing to the pink skies of a blood orange sun to cool starry skies, with firelight and moon. Don’t believe everything you hear when it comes to weather reports: look up and out, because the weather-gods work of their own free will! If weather does happen to happen- then come out anyway, as the performances are held indoors in case of rain.
You can’t lose!
The last chances to catch the shows are this Thursday, July 15th, Friday, July 16th, Saturday, July17th and Sunday, July 18th. Come at 6pm and catch the music of Sirius Coyote on Thursday, Eric Kuhn on Friday, Nzinga's Daughters on Saturday and Phil Rosenthal on Sunday. Music starts at 6pm and Shakespeare at 7pm. All of the performances are held at Middlesex Community College in Middletown.
Aficionados, families, and Shakespeare first-timers alike are sure to be engaged in this sweet, silly, raucous comedy of love, community and games, all amidst the wonders of the natural world. Bring a blanket or chairs and a picnic, and enjoy top notch entertainment en plein-air.
