Jon Pulina arrived at work on Wednesday evening to operate the cameras which would broadcast the monthly meeting of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency, only to discover that the meeting had been cancelled along with most other City Hall functions, as a result of the failed air conditioning.
Pulina was not the only one there, Jim Sakonchik came to present plans regarding a subdivision, and about a dozen members of the public had come to attend the meeting.
Pulina was flabbergasted that there had been no notice, "Nothing on the web page, not even a sign on the door about Inland Wetlands!" He said he heard about the cancellation from Billy Wilson, another camera operator.
Wilson told me that he learned the news of City Hall closing from a facebook posting by a City employee. He said he called several different city offices to ask if the Inland Wetlands meeting was also cancelled, but there was no answer. "Finally I called the Cypress Grill [where I/W Chair Joe Carta works], and Joe's brother told me it was cancelled."

Will the last person to leave Middletown please turn out the lights?
Hi,
I don't know if I was that flabbergasted, but I was disappointed.
LOL
