It's a great day to be an American

When I heard some voter out there in the heartland make this statement on NPR today, it felt just right. No matter who you are supporting, I hope that you enjoyed this election day and the feeling that we can make a difference.

The polls at Macdonough had a 65% turnout at 5:45 pm. (And don't I wish WE'D had a bake sale this year!) I also stopped by District 10, which is the South Farms Firehouse. Among the old friends that I saw, I chatted with Ron Klattenberg and Chris Bourne, both riding the high energy of all the voters. At 7:07 pm, District 10 had an 84% turnout, including the 200 or so absentee ballots.

And now I'm off to watch the returns with family and friends.

It was nice voting with you.
