If sidewalks are your bag, you probably noticed the recent work crews in downtown Middletown.
Over the past several years, the City replaced the old brick pavers on Main Street with a red brick pattern stamped on concrete. The old pavers had a bad habit of popping up and getting kicked around the sidewalk, opening the City up to lawsuits and a general perception of decay. The new stamped concrete seems to be working pretty well, but can sometimes be slippery when wet. So Public Works is spreading a sealant with a non-skid surface, which also serves as the annual maintenance on the stamped concrete. They'll be done with the work this week.

Can't we have posts on something a little more concrete than sidewalks.
You folks some kind of fetishists or something?
