Earth Week Rant

James Carville coined the expression “It’s the Economy, Stupid!” during the 1992 election.  That is still true; but what IS the economy?  Would the presidential candidates know one if they saw one?  Would we?  This talk will explore the physical basis of the economy and argue that an appropriate understanding of the term would alter the national dialogue.
