The City of Middletown, CT will be hosting a 9/11 memorial service to be held on September 11, 2011 at the South Green.
A procession of police, fire, and emergency management will begin at 8:15, moving from the corner of Main Street and Dingwall Drive to the gazebo on the South Green.
The Memorial Service will begin at about 8:45, and there will be a moment of silence at 8:46, 9:02, 9:37, and 10:03, to remember the successive planes which struck the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the plane which crashed in Pennsylvania.
During this event, the name, rank, and assignment of each firefighter and police officer that died as a result of 9/11 will be read.
