Preparing Your Trees and Shrubs for Winter

The Jonah Center for Earth and Art invites the public to an evening with arborist, Jane Harris on Tuesday, September 13 at 7 pm. A well-known yard care consultant in the area, Jane will discuss basic principles of tree and shrub health and give us easy steps to take this fall to protect our trees and shrus for the winter, foster healthy root growth, resize and rejuvenate overgrown shrubs, and prune at the right time.

Jane Harris also serves on Middletown’s Urban Forestry Commission. She will offer important information for residents about our city’s trees, pruning for utility wires, the function of trees in an urban or residential setting, and more.
