The Middletown Police Department’s Narcotics Unit along with the Special Investigations Unit initiated a warrant sweep to combat the quality of life issues in Middletown, specifically in the North End of the city where the sale of narcotics has severely diminished the quality of life for the Middletown citizens in that area.
The officers focused their search on suspects whose warrants included illegal sale/possession of narcotics, controlled substances and other related organized criminal activity.
In total the officers were looking to serve a total of 27 narcotic arrest warrants for 19 suspects. Eight of the warrants were for five people that were already incarcerated. A Habeas will be issued so that the warrants can be served in court.
Below are the mug shots and charges for all the suspects arrested during the sweep. The suspects were located in Middletown and other towns in the state.

The North Ends very finest citizens. They will be out tomorrow harassing those of us who send our kids to Green Street or while we're waiting for breakfast at O'Rourkes. If hou live in the North End like I do we know the crack houses...shut them down once and for all.
Also note that the last such sweep was when the Interim chief applied fr the permanent job...well guess what happened this week again?
Ed: I know it's not relevant to this post, but I have to ask - was the local print paper that accused the Eye of shoddy journalism the same paper that just ran a story about the Big Y/A&P shop on Washington AVENUE?
