You Never Know Who You Might Run into at the Buttonwood Tree

This weekend The Buttonwood Tree proved to be the place for great music and high school reunions! Neil Pearlman's trio wowed the Friday night audience with their spunky Scottish jazz and Neil's awesome piano performance. Sonny and Perley offered a lovely show on Saturday night as they presented the music of Ella Fitzgerald and stories and anecdotes of her life. Familiar to playing venues of hundreds of people, the husband and wife duo enjoyed the intimacy of The Buttonwood Tree and had a great time chatting with the audience.

They chatted just long enough to find out that there was a first-time patron who won tickets to the performance on WESU, who went to the same high school in New York and graduated the same year as the pianist! He also won a cd for traveling the farthest for the show - something TBT is now doing frequently at their shows.

Friday night, another first-time patron discovered she knew someone there - a friend who was in her high school class! It's a small world, and at The Buttonwood Tree, you just never know who you'll run into!

Wow, what a great photo! They should put that on their website!
