Wesleyan gave 21 Doctorate, 30 Master of Arts, 30 Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, and 785 Bachelor of Arts degrees at its commencement today. Three received honorary degrees: Majora Carter, James Dresser, and Joss Wheedon. Wheedon gave a well-received commencement address, urging graduates to embrace the contradictions and tensions that are present in any life.
