Open Invitation to the Community to Participate in the Middlesex United Way Campaign Film

Middlesex United Way is extending an open invitation to people from all across the community to participate in a shoot for the 2012-13 Middlesex United Way campaign film. The film is directed and produced by Yellowbarn Films of Middletown.

It will be a fun and festive atmosphere as United Way brings together a big crowd to be filmed soaking up the summer sun, enjoying the company of other community-minded people, and participating in a large-scale art project. This event will be celebratory and upbeat. Snacks and bottled water will be provided.

For about three hours, you can make a difference and get to see yourself in a United Way film that is shown to thousands of people throughout Middlesex County and also posted on United Way’s social media. Here are some ideas of how to participate in this project:
  • Bring a group from your office and make it a rewarding team-building exercise.
  • Bring your kids and other family members to join in the fun and see how a professional film is made.
  • If you work for a nonprofit, bring a group of teens or other clients as a summertime outing.
  • Or just bring yourself. United Way needs lots of people and each person matters.

Filming takes place on Friday, July 27 beginning at 3:00 p.m. and wrapping up close to 6:00 p.m. or soon thereafter. Everyone is encouraged to stay for the entirety of the filming. If you have a Live United t-shirt (white t-shirt with black lettering), please wear it to the shoot.

United Way is asking people to register online for this opportunity at www.middlesexunitedway.org/webform/2012-campaign-film-participant.

Filming location is yet to be determined but it will be somewhere either in or near downtown Middletown. United Way will communicate with participants via email with the final location details.
