Moody School PTA: A Busy Meeting Tonight

The Moody School PTA has a full agenda at their monthly meeting tonight. They will be discussing the status of the Moody Playscape, possible school redistricting, the science fair, parking lot safety, and indoor recess. In addition, Darrell Ponzio, Assistant Chief of the Westfield Fire Department, will be a special guest. Ponzio will discuss volunteer opportunities with the Westfield Fire Department.

Here is his posting from the Westfield Fire Department Blog:

The Moody School PTA will be graciously hosting Assistant Chief Darrell Ponzio this coming Monday night,
January 11th, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Moody School library (300 Country Club Road) to have a conversation with Westfield residents about volunteer opportunities with the Westfield Fire Department.

Like the PTA, the Westfield Fire Department is powered by volunteer residents within the District. We're looking for able-bodied men and women who would like to make a significant difference in their community by helping our neighbors. The comraderie and excitement come with the package. If you've ever thought about becomming a volunteer firefighter or EMT but felt that you couldn't commit to a schedule or had some other lingering concern, please come out and join the discussion. Even if you find that it's not really for you, there may be another family member or neighbor who you might recommend. While you're there, you can also see our PTA in action. Between the future playscape, the JCJ Feasibility Study and parking lot safety, the discussion should be lively!
