Middletown High boys beat Bulkeley 73-66 in overtime Tuesday, as Matt Monahan scored six in the extra period to power the team to a lead it would not relinquish. The game was a see-saw battle throughout, with MHS leading by 10 in the first quarter, then seeing that lead evaporate under a smothering Bulkeley press.
It was the first high school game I've attended in fifteen years and I was amazed at the speed at which the game is now executed.
