Middletown is not the only location with a Patch website.
Beginning at midnight tonight, Haddam/East Haddam Patch is launched with a familiar name at the helm.
Cassandra Day, who still lives in Middletown, and was an editor at the Middletown Press for many years is now the editor of East Haddam Patch.

There is something odd about the way the Patch pats itself on the back. http://blog.patch.com/2010/12/15/600-sites/
Press and Courant reporters fail to cover Middletown efficiently. Maybe it's not the paper but the reporters. So many times when calling to ask about coverage for an event would the reporters pass the buck along to some one else or another department. The word uninterested comes to mind.
