Free Flu Shot And Vision Screening Clinic Tuesday

 From the Middletown Health Department

You will not only be able to get a free flu shot but you can get your eyes examined at no cost at a seasonal flu clinic and vision screening on Tuesday, December 21 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Cross Street AME Zion Church, 440 West Street.

Health officials stress that it is still not too late to get a seasonal flu shot and encourage individuals at least 3 years of age to receive a flu shot (flu mist is not available) at the clinic.

Health officials also say that many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms, and as a result, individuals are often unaware that a problem exists. Children of any age and adults will have an opportunity to get their eyes tested by an ophthalmologist for visual impairments and potential problems with sight.

Insurance or residency is not required for either the flu clinic or vision screening.

Free transportation will be available to Cross Street AME Zion Church from selected locations

For general information or information about transportation, call (860) 344-3595

The flu clinic is sponsored by Mass Dispensing Area (MDA) 36: the towns of Cromwell, Durham, Middlefield and the City of Middletown. The Middletown Lions Clubs International is sponsoring the vision screening.
