Drug Bust on Bailey Road

From the Middletown Police Department


On December 3, 2010 the Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the MPD Emergency Response Team (ERT), and Patrol Division executed a Search and Seizure Warrant at the residence of 146 Bailey Road. The Search and Seizure warrant was to include the residence at 146 Bailey Road as well as the person of Kenneth Ford, and a 1999 Nissan Maxima registered to Crystal Mitchell of said address. We had received numerous complaints concerning this address from concerned citizens that reside in the area.

As the ERT entered the residence they discovered three parties, who were detained and identified as Kenneth Ford age 22, Crystal Mitchell age 40, and Lamar Mitchell age 46.  

The male target of our investigation Kenneth Ford (AKA “Baby”) was taken into custody. Ford was found to be in possession of a large amount of US currency inside of the residence. There was a small amount of marijuana located inside of the residence.  
Inside of the Nissan Maxima, which had been operated by Ford, was 10.3 grams of crack cocaine concealed in the ashtray.

Kenneth Ford was subsequently arrested for the following charges and held on a  $200,00.00 bond with a court date of 12/17/10:
Possession  of Crack Cocaine
Possession of Crack Cocaine With Intent to Sell
Possession of Crack Cocaine With Intent to Sell within 1500’ of a School
Possession of less than 4 ounces of Marijuana
Possession of Marijuana within 1500’ of a School
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
