Fall Classes Starting at Connecticut's Best Children's Theater

Oddfellows Playhouse Fall 2013 Theater classes start Oct 14th!. 

The Fall Session runs for 8 weeks, with programs beginning the week of October 14 and concluding the week of December 9.  There are no classes held the week of Thanksgiving.

Ages 3-4: Little Fellows
Parents & Tots: Thursdays 9-10am or Saturdays 9-10am
Arts Explosion: Thursdays 10-11am or Saturdays 10-11am

Ages 5-6: First Act
Beginning Acting: Tuesday 4:30-5:30pm or Saturday 9-10am
Creative Arts: A Bug’s Life: Big Stories with Little Creatures Thursdays 4:30-5:30 or Saturdays 10-11am

Grades 1-3: Story Starters
Mini-Production: Where the Sidewalk Ends: Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30-6pm
Creative Drama: Wizard Academy: Mondays 4:30-5:30 or Saturdays 9-10am
Creative Drama: Spinning Fairy Tales: Wednesdays4:30-5:30 or Saturdays 10-11am

Grades 4-5: Kids Company
Mini-Production: The Mystery of..: Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30-6pm
Actor’s Tool Box: Saturdays 9-10am
Ensemble: Improvisation: Saturdays 10-11am

Grades 6-8: Junior Repertory Company
Behind the Scenes: StageCraft: Mondays 4:30-6pm
Circus Skills: AcroJam: Fridays 5:15-6:15

Grades 9 & up: Teen Repertory Company

Ages: 12 & up: Traveling Circus Company

One of the biggest changes in the Playhouse schedule is a full scale-production for students in grades 3-5 of “For Feet’s Sake” by Krista Knight.  A wildly imaginative adaptation of Hans Christen Andersen’s The Little Mermaid.  The production will be onstage June 6-7, 2014.  Students must meet the pre-requisite requirements in order to be cast, which include taking part in either a fall or winter session Mini-Production or take two skill building classes during the 2013-14 season.
