Record-Journal: Lesser Considering A Challenge To Suzio

The Meriden Record-Journal is reporting that State Representative Matt Lesser, who represents represents the 100th District in the Legislature, is considering putting his name in for the Democratic nomination for the State Senate, in District 13.

District 13 is currently represented by Republican Len Suzio.

The Democratic challenger is chosen by a convention of delegates from each of the towns within the district. The district, recently redrawn, is dominated by Meriden, which provides the majority of the delegates to the convention.

Len won his seat with a resounding victory in a predominantly Democrat district. I hope his work ethic and ideas pay off and allow him to keep the seat and defeat the upstart.

Define upstart, please. I thought Matt was already in his second term. Matt's a hard worker, as his list of introduced bills shows. Len Suzio probably is, too; he made waves by trying to cut funding for Planned Parenthood as soon as he was elected.

I need to move to a city with fewer idiots.

Matt's been highly responsive to everyone in Middletown and he's intelligent and active as a legislator. I'd support him challenging Suzio.

Len Suzio has been absolutely amazing from the storm in helping citizens to helping them find jobs, making them aware of jobfairs. You name it, Len has done it. He has been one of the most S. Senators we have ever seen in my opinion. I will not only vote for him I will put a lawn sign up, as well as volunteer, we cannot loose Len, no way no how. He is really for the people, works for them, not just lip service, Go Len.

Suzio proposes a cap in gas taxes, he has my vote! Lesser should challenge Joe Serra instead. Suzio chose to cut Planned Parenthood like other programs because he felt it fairer to make small cuts across the board rather than to only SOME specific programs- share the burden of lessening funds among programs. No harm in that. Lesser's advocacy for high spending cannot compare- Suzio all the way!

I get fed up with all of Suzios press releases. He sends one out for every teeny little thing he does in Middletown and it is so transparent and self serving. I only know of him through the press releases.

I am fed up with Lesser's press releases and useless bills that are always a day late and dollar short- Don't send a boy to do a man's job!
