More Middnight Photos

Thanks to Trevor Davis for some great pictures of our city's New Year's Eve celebration.

First Church was the perfect venue for Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams:

Great view of the fireworks and the happy crowds in the street:

Confetti at midnight:

A happy and justifiably proud event creator, Mark Masselli of the Community Health Center:

My wife and I used to enjoy a nice romantic New Years Eve in Middletown, quiet dinner at a restaurant, walk around town and stop in at a couple of places for a drink and good cheer. Not this year. After the rush of the holidays it's our one break we looked forward to. NY 2013 will be spent in New Haven. The clincher was when we were eating someone ran into the restaurant and yelled--"you outta see these fireworks!" Why doesn't the town bring back 4th of July and move the event to then?

We had a blast! Drove 2 & 1/2 hours from Fitchburg, MA. HAD to catch the Slambovians!!! They are one of those bands that can't be missed. It was our first New Years Eve out in at least 25 years, and we hope to ring in the New Year again next year with the awesome magic that is the Slambovians!
