Sharpen your drawing skills in an environment that is friendly and celebratory - that’s the purpose of “The Big Draw”. Believing that drawing is something for everyone, The Friends of the Davison Art Center - in celebration of the organization’s 50th anniversary - has assembled a group of Wesleyan art professors and art students, Middletown public school art teachers, and members of the Middletown High School Art Club to facilitate multiple workshops for beginners to accomplished artists, ages 5 and up.
There are activities for adults and for youngsters, including illustration, Japanese sumi-i ink drawing, a collective Earth Day-themed drawing (April 22nd is Earth Day), movement and drawing, and a scavenger hunt. The day culminates with a community exhibition on campus.
