I bumped into the mayor twice this morning. Early on, he and fellow Republican were spiffing up the new Republican headquarters on Main Street.
Then, as I walked out of the hardware store, I saw him pulling up for a carwash to benefit the Middletown High Swim Team.
He shamed me into washing my car, which hadn't been cleaned for more than a year.
