If you come to The Buttonwood Tree often, as I do, there is often a
reward. Great music. Traditional, jazzy, eclectic or sometimes
undefinable, like the Tree, a category by itself. If you came for Two
Virgins you were ambushed. Regular looking guys it seemed. Instead,
taken in by musicians who would pour everything they had onto the stage
and into the laps of an unsuspecting listener. They wrote all the songs.
A few by Tom Mooney pushed me back into my seat like a raggedly
powerful Jagger/Richards composition. Each guy on the stage had his own
aura, each one could have performed solo. Together they were completely
unpretentious, viscerally engaging. If you came with a date you had to
have a great time and if you came stag. . . you'll know better next
time.

This was a great show. Great original music, and they knew how to rock out without being too loud in a small room.
If you don't have a date it's a good place to find one! Or just have a good time anyway! Thanks Stephen :)
