Professor Patty Raymond, Chair of the Business Division |
Middletown,
Conn., (May 16, 2012) – Middlesex Community College students have selected Professor Patty Raymond, Chair of the
Business Division, as the “2012 Professional Service Award” recipient. This
award, now in its fourteenth year, was created by the MxCC Student Activities
Office to give students a chance to vote for the faculty member that has
provided outstanding service and guidance. It was presented to Professor
Raymond by Danezia Cordero, Student Senate President, at the annual MxCC
Foundation Scholarship Reception on May 11.
In addition to being a professor
of Business Administration and Marketing, Professor Raymond is an active member
of the MxCC community and has served on numerous committees. She works closely with students as an advisor
for the MxCC chapter Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK), and is very involved
with PTK students through community service projects.
“It is a great honor to receive
this recognition from our students,” Professor Raymond said. “More importantly, it is an honor to be able
to work with our students every day, and to work with such a supportive and
involved faculty community here at MxCC.”
This is the second time Professor
Raymond received the MxCC Professional Service Award (first time was in 2008)
and has twice been named to the “Who’s Who among American’s Teachers.”
