Walking by the other day we noticed The Nest on Church street is now open. Formerly this restaurant was called the Cardinals Nest.
The new limited menu is posted in the window, featuring burgers, sandwiches and pizza.
The outdoor eating spaces and the bar area have all been upgraded.

Their patio, overhung with grapevines, is a wonderful place to enjoy the fruit of the grape. I look forward to a summer evening meal there.
I ate at The Nest last night and the place looks great.
The menu is much more realistic for a bar than The Cardinal's Nest. Rather than trying to specialize in everything, they're limiting the menu to pizza (medium or large) and standard bar food (no more pasta and fish dishes).
Thanks for posting this. So many Middletown restaurants have similar menus - burgers, pizzas, typical appetizers and salads - and then don't understand why they don't have more business. It's fine to have some of the same items, but why not add more interesting choices to set yourself apart? My husband and I like to go out to eat, but lately find ourselves eating at home because we can make something more interesting ourselves. Healthier and vegetarian options are appreciated, too!
