In recent months, a Jonah Center committee of interested individuals from many local organizations (NEAT, Middletown’s Conservation Commission; CT River Coastal Conservation District, Inland Wetlands Commission, and local paddlers) has explored possibilities for increased access to the Coginchaug River, including a canoe/kayak launch. This committee – The Coginchaug River Access Group – is now working with the City Planning Department to move ahead on a number of project ideas.
On May 18, at 7 pm, we invite you to come learn more about the river and meadows, and project ideas to increase access. This is an important opportunity for your input, ideas, support or involvement.
For more information, go to www.thejonahcenter.org and send us a message, or call 860-346-6657, ext. 13.

At the small size on the blog, the photo attached to this post is an eye-catcher. Turn it 90° counter-clockwise and it becomes a striking image. Kudos to the photographer for an artful shot.
