Dismissal of Non-Certified BOE Employees on Hold For a Week

After a court hearing this morning, Board of Education chairman Ted Raczka met with mayor Sebastian Giuliano, Board Attorney Christine Chinni and City Attorney Tim Lynch and proposed a temporary halt to an order by the mayor to terminate non-certified BOE employees who have been hired by the board outside of city labor contracts.  Giuliano agreed to the temporary halt indicating the the court hearing on this issue will help decide who has the authority to hire, pay and fire these employees.
