Another Set Of Budget Numbers, Slightly Less Horribly Terribly No Good

According to The Hartford Courant's numbers, the most recent Democratic budget proposal does not leave Middletown as the biggest loser in the state budget.

But our city would still lose $1.9M, a 5.4% drop from last year.

This is a significantly different number than was reported by CT Mirror yesterday. The reason for the discrepancy is not clear.

The State Senate has convened a special session for Thursday to vote on the budget.  CT NewsJunkie (Special Interests Take Sides In Budget Debate, But There’s Still No Document) reports that the Democratic caucus has not released all of the budget documents to the public.

The Common Council will meet on Friday to finalize the city budget.
