UCONN Training On Special Education Process To Be Held At Lawrence School

UCONN’s People Empowering People (PEP) focused on Special Education
is now enrolling for Fall 2015.  This training is for individuals that want to learn more about the special education process in schools and effect change to better the lives of children, families and their community.  Class Topics Include: Understanding and Respecting Values, Communication, Problem Solving, Special Education Overview, Child Development & Action Planning for Children with Special Needs.

Pep is a FREE ten week program of 2 hour sessions; upon completion of the course participants earn a certificate from UCONN. Classes will be held The Lawrence School, Kaplan Drive Middletown, on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm.  Childcare is available for children 4 and up, and a light dinner will be served.
