Where's David Sauer

While we’re all anxiously awaiting the results of Tuesday’s election as well as attempting to get our lives back in order after storm Alfred I propose that we play a new game. It’s loosely based on “Where’s Waldo”. It’s called “Where’s David Sauer”.

This election season has seen disgruntled citizens take on pseudonyms. Some “Eye” readers doubted the existence of David Sauer. Some thought he might be David Bauer or Steve Devoto. Three citizens have vouched for his existence; Jennifer Alexander, David Bauer and his wife (although she did post anonymously). David Bauer did have a point in stating that he has never seen David Sauer and Steve Devoto in the same room. For that matter has anyone seen Steve Devoto, David Bauer and David Sauer in the same room?

The game is simple; list the number of times you see David Sauer around Middletown. I’ll even give you a few hints; most days he’s in his office in New Britain and he is 6’3” so although he usually does not wear a ski hat or a striped shirt he does stand out. Stop & Shop is usually a good spotting site. Game is played until Nov. 8th. A guaranteed siting on the 8th will be at the South Fire District where he will be casting his vote. He will have a tremendous look of relief on his face; grateful that this election is over.
