Malloy Visits Macdonough For Launch of No Kids Hungry

Macdonough school was filled with leading Connecticut political figures Wednesday evening to kickoff the Campaign for No Kid Hungry!   The program opened with Lucy Nolan, Executive Director of End Hunger Connecticut.  Governer Malloy acknowledged his second visit to Macdonough.  His first visit was during his campaign for governor.  Other speakers included Principal Jon Romeo, Kevin Concannon, Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services, Donald Williams, Senate President Pro Tempore, Connecticut General Assembly and Christopher Donovan, Speaker of the House.  There were also remarks from Chefs Tim Cipriano and Billy Grant Co-Chairs of Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation New Haven and Hartford Committees, as well as Chris Buchanan, Senior Manager for Public Affairs and Government Relations for Walmart.   Macdonough's very own Jade Diaz also spoke this evening about Governor Malloy's past experiences and education.

The presentations Wednesday evening included statistics of hunger among kids in Connecticut and how we need to address these issues as community leaders to ensure that all children are provided with healthy meals on a daily basis.  Governor Malloy spoke about breaking the gaps that currently restrict kids from eating healthy meals and creating environemnts in which a meal is presented to any child that is hungry at any time.

I'm actually shocked Malloy actually has one decent plan on how to spend the taxpayers dollars . Unfortunately once he drives everyone out of the state with his insane tax hikes, he won't have to worry about it because there'll be nobody left to feed. I'm left hungry wishing he would feed us with some more reasonable spending.
