Art Show Draws

The gallery opening of the annual Middletown Schools Art show drew a huge crowd to Wesleyan's Zilkha Gallery last evening. The crowd included parents, children, educators and civic leaders. I saw State Rep Matt Lesser, Mayor Sebastian Giuliano, Councilman Robert Santangelo, Ted Raczka and Sheila Daniels from the Board of Ed, Michael Frechette and Barbara Senges from the Schools Administration, Principal Yolande Eldridge of Moody School, and numerous teachers in the arts.

Mayor Giuliano and Superintendent Frechette share the evening's joy, and Santangelo and Daniels pose before a wonderful clown painting by Ella Drew, daughter of mayoral candidate Dan Drew.

Please do not ever again show a picture of Mayor Giuliano and Superintendent Frechette sharing an evening's joy. They do for the Political value only, and you should not show that false flag!

That has got to be the biggest joke of a picture. How many names were muttered under their breathe as they waited for the camera to snap. They probably both rushed to the bathroom to wash their hands.

the real story is the collaboration between Wesleyan and the City. I, for one, think that is an important and positive thing. Kudos to all who brought this about.
