Festival Brings Out the People and the Politicians

For the casual observer, the good weather has meant large crowds at the first two days of the St. Sebastian Festival. Tomorrow the weatherman is talking rain.

But Friday, the big crowds remained until closing. I'm not sure how the daytime crowds looked, because I was in Boston at a graduation, but when I returned, the parking lot was thick with patrons eating fried dough, sausage and peppers and Italian ice.

And more than one local politician was spotted chatting with friends.

At precisely 7:30, the statue bearers met for a quick run through of the processional at noon tomorrow.
