Veteran members of the Communication Workers of America (CWA Local 1298) picketed Saturday in front of the AT&T Mobile phone store on Main Street Saturday.
These union members, whose own contract with the giant communications company is not in question, were picketing and handing out fact sheets in support of union "brothers" working for AT&T Mobility. According to the picketers, the AT&T Mobility workers have a contract about to expire, and are working for the most profitable arm of AT&T, but they are largely young, inexperienced and unsure of their relationship with the company or the union.
