Candidates Forum in Middlefield

On Tuesday, October 14th, at 7PM, the candidates for two state positions to represent major portions of Middletown will speak and answer questions in Middlefield. The 13th State Senatorial district encompasses the entire south and eastern part of Middletown, as well as the towns of Middlefield and Meriden. In this district, Tom Gaffey (D) is facing a challenge from Tim Lenox (R).The 100th State Legislator district includes the western portion of Westfield, and parts of South Farms and even a little of Maromas, as well as the entire towns of Durham and Middlefield. Incumbent Raymond Kalinowski (R) is facing a challenge from Matt Lesser (D).

The forum is being held in the auditorium at the Middlefield Community Center (405 Main St, next to the firehouse). The auditorium is on the lower level of the Community Center. There are two entrances at the front of the building. After each candidate gives his presentation, anyone in t
he audience, including the other candidates, will have a chance to ask each candidate any questions they might have .

After the forum there will be refreshments in the Youth Center next to the auditorium. The candidates will attend this, so there will be a chance to meet them personally and discuss any issue you might have that you did not feel comfortable bringing up during the forum.
