Vinnie's is kicking off their new Friday night schedule this Friday with their Classy Blues Dance!
You're not going to want to miss this! Also, as a classy blues dance, there will be prizes to be won for those who dress up, so show us what you've got!
Jan Marie Olownia, our fabulous
guest instructor from Boston, is getting the evening started at 7pm with
Ninja Blues and Other Sneaky Partnered Tactics,
an intermediate class that will definitely take your blues to the next
level - and give you some fun new ideas to spice up your dancing at the
dance!
At 8pm Jan Marie will teach Blues From Both Sides of the Coin,
a fundamentals class that will give you all the tools you need to get
dancing to the music in no time - and it's a great opportunity for more
experienced dancers to work on your non-dominant dance role!
And we've got a very special treat - Amy Kucharik is coming down from Boston to spin sweet tunes for us all night long! Amy
DJs frequently for dancers in the Boston area and has been a guest DJ
at national events, including BluesSHOUT, Dirty Water Lindy & Blues
Exchange, and Dirt Cheap Blues. She delights in spinning new tunes
from local, independent musicians alongside old favorites, while
turning dancers on with sassy lyrics, layers of instrumentation, and a
solid blues groove.
Prices for the workshops and/or dances are as follows;
7—8pm:
Ninja Blues & Other Sneaky Partnered Tactics (Intermediate)
$10
8—9pm:
Blues From Both Sides of the Coin (Beginner)
$10/$5 Students & Seniors (Includes dance)
*Free if you take Blues Dance 102 before this.
9pm—12am:
Blues Dance
$8/$5 Students & Seniors
