Hundreds will attend for locally-grown food and locally-made crafts, music and arts.

Sad to say - once again I received an announcement of an appealing event on the morning after it occurred! Am I the only subscriber receiving notices a day late? Is there some way this situation can be remedied? Your otherwise helpful service to the community loses much of its value if notices are late. Please put these in a day or two earlier so they are of use. Thank you - Joyce Kirkpatrick
If we had received some notice of it we would have publicized it sooner. When I realized it was Open Market weekend, I went to the Wadsworth Mansion website and got the information so we could publish it. The people at the Mansion obviously got the word out because it was the biggest crowd I've seen at the event. We try our best to be timely and helpful, but we're a volunteer site, and don't always get the word out on everything. If you know of something that needs publicity, we'd be thankful for the help in focusing our attention on it.
I have also gotten most every event notice on the day of or after for the entire time I have been receiving the Eye.. I mentioned this once before but it seems there is no repair for the fact that the Eye gets delivered electronically to us late. I thought it was just me or an email issue I may have had, until now.
Thanks, Ed, I appreciate your pro-active effort to let Middletown residents what was happening at their Wadsworth Mansion. The free event was a spectacular one - thousands of people enjoyed the food, arts, crafts, music and festivity.
I expect it will all happen again on the last Sunday in August, 2020.

Keep up the good work - it's much appreciated!
