Larson has represented Connecticut's 1st Congressional District since 1999. The district includes a part of Middletown (roughly, north of Westfield Street, and east of Route 217.) He is a member of the House Ways & Means Committee (which oversees taxing, tariffs, and Medicare, among other responsibilities), is ranking member of the Subcommittee on Social Security, and a member of the subcommittee on Tax Policy.
