Middlesex Community College welcomes
“Destiny Africa Children’s Choir,” a performance group of 8-16 year-old
children who have been rescued from horrific situations in Uganda and now live at the Kampala Children's Centre outside
of the city of Kampala. This community
includes homes, a school, a farm, and a youth center, and provides
workshops and other resources that
have transformed the lives of these
children.
Come hear a free performance of hope,
restoration, freedom and joy featuring a lively mix of contemporary and
traditional African songs, drumming, dancing, and inspirational stories from
the children on Thursday, April 12, at MxCC’s Chapman Hall, Room 808 A,
B, C, and D. The first show is from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., and the evening show
begins at 7 p.m.
Free parking is available
in the lot adjacent to Chapman Hall.
