From the Middletown Police.
--------------
On February 8, 2012 the Street Crime Unit executed a Search and Seizure Warrant at the residence of 37 Cubeta Rd. The search warrant was to include the residence at 37 Cubeta Rd. and the person of Dhafir Amin.

We had received numerous complaints concerning this address from concerned citizens that reside in the area as well as the Middletown Housing Authority. We were also advised that there were children that reside within said residence. Through our investigation it was determined that the primary residents at the address were Dhafir Amin age 30 and Tamisha Thigpen age 30.

Detectives also were aware that Amin was arrested last week in Meriden and charged with Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics With Intent to Sell as he was selling 40 Milligram Oxycodone.

Today, Detectives observed Thigpen operating Amin’s Nissan Maxima as it was traveling west on Cross St. Amin was observed in the passengers seat at this time. Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop. As the vehicle came to a stop Thigpen was observed climbing over into the passenger’s seat and Amin was observed climbing into the driver’s seat.

Detectives along with patrol officers secured the vehicle and its occupants.

Detectives then executed the search and seizure warrant on the residence at 37 Cubeta Rd. The interior of the residence was in disarray as there was trash and food strewn throughout the residence. There was also a large Pitbull canine in a cage within the residence. Inside of the residence detectives located 30- 30 Milligram Roxicodone (Schedule II Narcotic) pills in an aspirin bottle.

The Department of Children and Families was contacted as three juveniles (ages 8, 4, and 1) reside at 37 Cubeta Rd and were present while Amin conducted his sales. DCF responded to MPD Headquarters to interview the parents, Amin and Thigpen, as their investigation is still ongoing.

Dhafir Amin was subsequently arrested for the following charges and held on a

Well you shouldnt feel bad for those kids. You should feel bad for the parents and how this whole story came about do to lies and the cops harrassing a good man. Those kids were in no harm ever. I know the parents and those kids have the world. The real story should have been hpw the mpd left his kids alone in the car while they were crying and how amin got brutally beat up and framed. Or how they raided and trashed the house then lied because they found nothing but thigpens perscription said they found the house that way.
