Middlesex United Way Invites You to Raise Your Voice for the National Day of Action

Middlesex United Way and United Ways across the country invite you to participate in their annual “Day of Action” on Thursday, June 20, 2013.

Each year this day, known as the Summer Solstice, gives communities more daylight hours than any other time of year and provides the United Way with a unique opportunity to engage with those who live and work in Middlesex County about their concerns and needs.

Middlesex United Way has two ways for Middlesex County residents to get involved on the Day of Action this year. First, residents are invited to participate in focus groups which will give individuals the chance to raise their voices on what they feel is important to their community. The conversations will be held at Russell Library (Third Floor Meeting Room), 123 Broad Street, and also in Old Saybrook at the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce (Main Floor), 1 Main Street, Old Saybrook. Both focus groups will take place on June 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Those interested in participating, please RSVP to Jennifer Sprague at or by calling (860) 346-8695.

An online survey is also available between now and June 21. The survey can be found HERE and takes about 10 minutes to complete.
