It's a Day of Action for the Occupy movement, with a huge march and rally at City Hall in New York City, and the proposed shut-down of an I-84 ramp in Hartford.
Students at Wesleyan will show solidarity with the Occupy movement with a 4 PM gathering on the steps of Olin Library and then a ceremony asking to rescind Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper's Wesleyan degree because he ordered Occupy Denver to be evicted because of "rules and laws that must be followed" while declaring the first amendment rights of protestors.
Hickenlooper graduated from Wesleyan with a BA in English in 1974, and earned a master's in geology in 1980. He received an honorary doctorate and was commencement speaker at Wesleyan in 2010. He founded the Wynkoop Brewery in Denver and went on to become Denver mayor after a maverick campaign. He has actively promoted the end of homelessness, gun control and the legalization of marijuana. Hickenlooper appears as a character in Kurt Vonnegut's novel. Timequake. Hickenlooper was elected governor of Colorado in 2010.

Is that what they're calling solidarity these days? Sheesh. Isn't there a Bank of America right on Main Street? Why not start there?

Hey, Occupy Wesleyan,
What do we want? Justice! Here's a modest proposal: Demand that all students' diplomas be withheld until they can prove that no ill-gotten gain from Wall Street was used to pay their tuition.
man Elizabeth, don't sugar coat it like that !!!!!!!!
When you go to work and have a family that you have to support will your views change. What happens when Mom and Pop don't support you?

And just in case you didn't get all of Elizabeth's point, be sure to look up "A Modest Proposal" -- it's probably free on your Kindle.
Oh look at the poor little rich kids, they want to take Johnny's paper away 'cause he doesn't play fair; waaaaa, waaaaa!
