STORMY WEATHER THIS WEEKEND!!!

Now that I've got your attention, I'd like to tell you about the show that's playing at Oddfellows Playhouse.

It's a zippy production of The Tempest by William Shakespeare.   Under the direction of Kim West, this production clocks in at a lean 75 minutes, and emphasizes the romantic and benevolent forces that bring the happy couple of Miranda & Ferdinand together in the end (spoiler alert).   Though abbreviated, it's all here - the guttural agonies of Caliban, the machinations of Prospera (gender-neutral casting), and the buffoonery of Trinculo & Stephano.  The young actors are part of the Oddfellows Teen Rep and they've been together for numerous productions over the years, which shows in their timing.

If you've got a bit of time, come enjoy live theater and support this great organization.

Thursday, Feb. 2nd & Friday, Feb. 3rd at 7 pm.   Saturday, Feb. 4th at 2 pm.  Adults $15 and students somewhat less.  Oddfellows is at 128 Washington Street and you can reach them at (860) 347-6143.

Bon Voyage!
